It looks fantastic - nice job Chris.  It'll be interesting to see what effect, if any, having the axle not in the centre of the springs will have.

Most automotive leaf springs have the "centre bolt" not in the centre, long end normally is the back section. I guess there is a reason, I have never thought to investigate. I do know that any holes should have a neat fitting bolt or similar through them and made tight, it helps to alleviate breakages at the hole.

If you don't mind could you elaborate on 'adjusting the governor to allow more revs' how you doing this, which bit are you adjusting?

There was a sprung loaded screw acting as a lever stop, from factory it was allowing 3600, I ended up removing it completely (see pic) so the lever now goes all the way until it meets the bracket itself. This has allowed it up to 4000, but this was on axle stands so we'll see how it behaves next week.
