Race Number Register
« on: 28 Apr 19, 09:29 pm »
We thought it would be handy to have a register of race numbers for GB cycleKarts.  You can register a number when you've got a CK you can drive (doesn't have to be finished).  Just post a message under this board with the following info (see the other entries for the format):

Could I choose number 16 for my Maserati R1 750 V8 please.
Because it's the number on the photo I've got of the inspiration car.

42, the answer to life, the universe and everything.
Does the number go with the car, or the owner?
For the "under planning and construction" 5, because that's what the inspiration car had.

My thoughts were that the number goes with the car.   Hopefully, we'll get so many built that that will become a problem at some stage - something to look forward to.

Is 42 for the GN?

Reason I asked is that GB motorsport doesn't keep the same number for events. A 2 day event I entered at the same venue, with same organisers I had 2 different numbers!
Yes 42 for GN, 5 for the Napier.

Can I have 17 for the ERA please. No story, just like it and it's easy to paint!

I would like 3A please. It was the number of the 1906 GP car I am building.

I am in a bit of dilemma what number to have. The inspiration car had 3 but Adrian has 3A so very similar. The number 8 is a similar shape so I'll choose that please.
If you can drive round corners, you're not going fast enough.

Would it be possible to reserve number 13 for Bridget the Riley please? Shes now finally got 4 wheels, and they may even be actually attached by the end of the month, though shes not gonna leave the garage till all that wood is safely under several coats of yacht varnish, once its a bit warmer... 13 is my club/racing number for my boats as well, so seems reasonable to carry it over. Hope this one doesnt sink... ;c) i promise ill have her equipped with an engine and in a driveable state soon....
Cheers!
Rich
