Hi,
I'm pleased to announce an Inaugural Meeting to form CycleKarts GB as a club.
The meeting will be held on Saturday 5th March 2022 from 10:30am at the British Motor Museum.
The agenda for the meeting will be:
- Welcome and introduction.
- Brief overview of the aims of the club
- Vote to adopt the constitution
- Vote to create a bank account
- Vote to elect the committee
- AOB
(short and sweet)
The proposed Constitution and Handbook are attached to this post and have been developed by a small group of people* over the last year. (EDIT: please note this version of the Handbook is out of date and hence has been removed to avoid confusion.)
To vote, you will need to be a member. The proposed cost of membership is £30 for this year - for which you'll get the warm glow of knowing that you are helping to promote cyclekarting. The money will help to pay for websites and other promotion as well as the paraphernalia that so far, people have kindly dipped into their own pockets for. There are also likely to be events that the club is invited to which will only be open to members.
It would be helpful to know ahead of the inaugural meeting, who intends to join the club. Please could you email CKGBclub@gmail.com before 20th Feb 2022 to confirm your intention to join. Bank details for payment etc will be sent out after the club has been formed.
The club will need a committee to run it. If you would like to stand to join the Committee, please complete the attached nomination form and email it to CKGBclub@gmail.com before 20th Feb 2022. The committee can have up to 6 people on it. If more than 6 nominations are received, the committee will be elected by a vote at the Inaugural Meeting.
If COVID means we can't meet in person then the meeting will be held on Zoom and details will be published here.
If you can't attend but would like to, then please let us know via CKGBclub@gmail.com asap and we'll do our best to arrange an online connection or voting by proxy.
