Brooklands Era Relived 9th July 2022
« on: 18 Feb 22, 03:16 pm »
I’m delighted to say that we’ve been invited back to Brooklands Era Relived this year on 9th July 2022 at Brooklands Museum.

Let’s see if we can put on an even better display this year.  We’ll be doing demonstration drives, have a display stand and of course, period clothing.

Be aware that it’s an early start to set up before doors open to the punters.

Please post a reply if you’d like to bring a Cyclekart.  I’m not sure if there is a limit on numbers at this point.

park it next to the car it's based on???

Time to be thinking about your period attire and for us to start planning our display.

To help plan out what space we need, we’ll need to firm up numbers in the next few weeks.   So far, the following people have said they want to bring a cyclekart:

Chris Solen
Adrian Gosling
Geoff May
Chris Slade
Graham Appleyard x2
Chris Loader
Andy Boulton
Bill Alexander
(Jim Tanner)
Ian F

(I’ll update this list here as things change)

It’s an early start, as we have to be in, set up and have our trailers squirrelled away by about 08:30, before the eager public are allowed in.

Can you give any detail on what the day will be about please Stefan?  Format etc?
We must avoid torturing our brains with false problems, it occupies but it can annoy. In jest!

Yes
A static period display of cyclekarts and probably:

A few exhibition laps on the start-finish straight with commentary
A "mass start" on the start-finish straight
An attempt at getting up Test Hill

All surrounded by a fantastic collection of cars from the period doing similar activities.
