Yes, me too please, especially as the Austin 7 twin-cam used to race at Brooklands.  Mine may not be painted by then but it should be running and have the fibreglass nose and rear upper body done.

The Brooklands event will be upon us in no time, and this year we want to put on an even better display than last year.   It’s an early start, so if you haven’t already, you might want to think about travel or accommodation.

It’s also time to be thinking about your period outfit.  If you’re stuck for ideas, then search for photos from Goodwood Revival or Vintage Revival Montlhéry.

More details coming soon.

Sorry chaps, I have retired the Renault now so I am bringing the Wee Beastie for definite BECAUSE ITS FINISHED!
I will be giving it it's first run this afternoon, just up and down the M69, nothing dramatic, see it can catch that SU34 on its way to Leicester.

I won't be able to make this event as I've decided to go to Santapod instead.

You'll be able to measure the 1/4 mile time of a cyclekart using a calendar. :)

I've seen it move...it's ready.  There's not such thing as a finished cyclekart!

If you're hoping to come to Brooklands Relived, please could you check that your name is on the list (http://cyclekartsgb.createaforum.com/events/brooklands-era-relived-9th-july-2022/msg6463/#msg6463).

We need to supply briefing sheets about our cyclekarts for the commentary team:
no more than a single side of A4
a photo of your cyclekart
a little information about your inspiration car(s)
why you chose the number (if relevant)
and anecdotes that might make the commentary more interesting (eg Geoff's being road legal)

If you did one for last year's event and want to check it, please ask in the next couple of days and I'll send it to you.

Please could you send your commentary notes to CKGBchair@gmail.com by Fri 30th June.  Thanks.

It would be great to "dress" our display a little with period bits and pieces like oil jugs and fuel cans, signs/adverts to hang on the railings, old wheels/tyres, trophies etc.  Please have a think and reply to say what you will be able to bring.
