Whilton Mill Karting have agreed to let us hire the small circuit for a full day around the end of October.
It will most likely be a Tuesday so looking at the calendar October the 26th could be the date but this is still to be confirmed.
It is a really nice facility with a new restaurant that happens to be 2 for the price of 1 on a Tues. :) I have tested my CK round the small circuit and its pretty smooth. It isn't too tight on the hairpins and I managed to get round no problem, I didn't find it any tighter than Castlecombe or Stretton. The track has a bit of a nostalgic look about it with wooden fencing and tyres.
My idea of it being a fun day is that we set up some driving trials, slalom, maybug medal, set specific time laps ect and any other games you can think of will be welcome (within reason). We could have some small prizes for all sorts of categories.
It may be possible that we can allow some guests to have say a 15min test in a CK to see if they like it.
If you're Interested then please pop your name below.

Whilton is in a central location in Northamptonshire with easy access to the M1 and the A5.
The fee is £500 for the track for the whole day so the more names that can attend the cost will be spread.

If you can drive round corners, you're not going fast enough.

Jim as you know I am up for this :) i will bring two Karts and possible a third, so if anyone wishes to "arrive and drive" and have a go in a cyclekart they can and contribute to the kitty - Bring a helmet etc but will confirm this nearer the time

A little video we did down at the circuit so you can see a little more

Not sure where Stefan got that information. I am not at school on that date. Hopefully I am free to come along as it looks like a good event!

It's fantastic that you chaps want to come along and we should have a cracking day. I have another friend coming along with a CK he's Just bought and the odd thing is he lives in Whilton. His name is Richard Bond, a very nice bloke and hopefully will join the club.

Whilton Mill have sent through some menus which can be pre-booked to save time. The choice looks good and I am thinking we can have lunch about 12.30 to 1.30. If you want to put your order on here I can order them all closer to the day or you can phone or email them yourselves. I have looked at the menu and the Oblivion triple burger looks a challenge to eat followed by a challenge to stay  awake afterwards.  ;D
If we get enough orders they will lay on extra staff so we won't be kept waiting.
