We are very pleased to announce another CycleKart event at Stretton Karting Circuit Leicester. Stretton Circuit is the location for the first ever CycleKart event in 2018 and remains a popular venue with drivers.
We will have exclusive use of the track from 10.00am until 1.00pm, with potential additional use in the afternoon. The access road is shared with the Leicester Airport Flying Club and gates should be open at 8.00am
The fee for the day for drivers is £55 inclusive of NORA fees.
It is a great opportunity to set up your vehicle for the new season in a safe and relaxed environment. We would love to see any new members and guests, or anybody else with a general interest in CycleKarting on the day.
Facilities at the circuit include a hot drinks and snacks vending machines (coins) and toilets/changing. Be prepared to bring you own food/drink as the nearest shops are a few miles away.
This event will be one of the first to be held under the new NORA regulations and you therefore should arrive in good time to receive a full event safety briefing starting at 9.15am.
Note anybody intending to drive on the circuit will require their NORA licence paid for and received in good time beforehand.
Further details are available by requesting the ‘Joining instructions and Event Regulations’ from Chris Slade at ckgbmembership@gmail.com

Hi everyone. This is the first track meeting of the year and it is a great circuit for cyclekarts. Get your membership, Nora license and sign up for a cracking day in your CK. The more the merrier. Spectators are also welcome to see the CK's in action.
If you can drive round corners, you're not going fast enough.

With Silverstone out of the way yesterday, which was a cracking day with some tremendous cars thundering around the track and a catch up with some of CKGB massive. We now have Stretton in about 10 days, woohoo. This lovely little track set in a vintage feel landscape will give an excellent morning of testing,Maybug medal and having fun in your CK. Be there or be O. (I don't have a square button so an O had to do)

I need to catch up with you simon to get the rope pins that we used at Grimsthorpe. If you can take them to the Nostalgias I could get them from you there, I'm not going to race my dragster though as I have too many other races that weekend. Hope you get your motor sorted mate.

By way of an update, we now have eleven confirmed CycleKarts running in the morning on Wednesday 3rd. It would be great to additionally see any new members or visitors on the day. Come and experience what CycleKarting is all about and chat in the relaxed atmosphere of Stretton Circuit.
This year it is confirmed that anybody wishing to camp-over on Tuesday evening can do so on the shingle/hardstanding area, the gate will be left open overnight for access. Toilets are closed overnight but fresh water is available. Can anybody who is intending to camp please let me know beforehand on ckgbsecretary@gmail.com.
BREAKING.  As an additional incentive I will be providing hot bacon rolls at the Wednesday morning sign-on.

For those with one driven-wheel we will travel in a clockwise direction .....  Jim R, I guess it won't matter to you  :D

BTW, Drivers, make sure you have your NORA Licence and that you have completed your entry form and paid Chris at ckgbmembership@gmail.com

The questionis do I turn the tyre around for an anti-clockwise track???  ??? ??? ::) ;D ;D ;D

The weather is looking good and sunny for tomorrow so get your racing flipflops, budgie smugglers and knotted hankies ready.  I am packed and ready to go.
