6 OCTOBER - SHUTTLEWORTH RACE DAY
« on: 06 Feb 24, 03:54 pm »
This first post of this topic will be updated as and when information is received or becomes available.  If you are interested in entering, please add a post with the % probability of entering and I will add your name to the list of entrants below.  This information will help the committee plan the required resources.

DATE:
6th October.  Entrants will need to be unloaded and in place prior to the public admission time.

VENUE:
The "Shuttleworth Collection" at Old Warden airfield near Biggleswade.

DESCRIPTION:
CKGB static display and dynamic display (15 minute session) as part of a combined vintage/veteran car show and airshow.

CKGB LEAD:
Ian Fletcher

EVENT REGULATIONS:
To be issued.

COSTS:
To be confirmed, but significantly discounted on the public admission price.

OTHER COMMENTS:
Includes access to the museum containing cars, bikes and planes (including the oldest flying plane in the world).  Our static display area will be in a prime location right in front of the hangars.  Many famous racing cars from our inspiration era also attend this event.

“Knobbly” motor-cross type tyres will cut up the surface of the grass runway, consequently only “road-pattern” tyres are allowed for the demonstration runs.  Knobblies are acceptable for the static display only.

ENTRANTS:
Ian Fletcher 100%
Andy Boulton 100%
Graham Hill 100%
Dunworkin 100%
Jim R 80%

100% for me, I might actually boot Flynn and do a few laps myself.

Excellent  8)  We would be running to their rules, so dont think they would allow Flynn to drive.  There are not many corners, mainly run in front of the hangars and then down to the runway, up the runway and then back up to the hangars.
