Chris Loader has identified another venue for us. The Haynes Motor Museum is very keen to host a day for CKGB. We will have the use of the adjoining karting track (test track) for the day together with access to the museum and restaurant. This is an interesting event for both us as a group and the Museum; they are keen to utilise the event themselves for marketing use.
It's another up-front lump-sum fee of £400 for the track for the whole day; we are hoping to separately negotiate museum entrance.
Therefore we need early indication of drivers who are interested and willing to commit to a fee. A target of eight drivers obviously equates to £50 each, any additional numbers is a bonus.
So far I know interested are:

Chris Loader
Graham H
Stefan Nahajski
Jim Tanner

Not me, I'm sorry. Some of us have to work   :)
We must avoid torturing our brains with false problems, it occupies but it can annoy. In jest!

I have booked the day off work and I'm looking forward to this with hopefully enough time to wander around the museum.
If you can drive round corners, you're not going fast enough.

Good man Jim. Chris is still corresponding and the track is booked.
Photographers from Haynes are being arranged.
I'm hoping that if we dress up for them again we may get into the museum for free? What about it Chris?
Anybody else committing to joining us on the day please?

I am looking forward to being there, my outfit is still drying out from the downpour at Brooklands but I hope to sort out  some suitable attire .

I can only try Graham. Hopefully we can get the numbers up, Ten would be great , same as Brooklands .
Do you make that six Karts committed so far ?

As we will be using the Museums excellent cafe/restaurant (sit in or outside), and helping to promote Haynes, (and ourselves) by allowing them to film us in all our finery,   their's a good chance , we will get discount at least .

Would like to go to this, but unlikely to be able to get the CK there.
Sorry.
But happy to still contribute towards the 'lump sum'.

Hi Graham

Sounds good - I can bring two Karts along as my friend Mark (photographer) would most likely come along. Happy for others to have a few laps if they want to as well.

Andy B and myself have booked into the Sparkford Inn for the Tues night before the meet. There are some rooms still available.
