I'm pleased to advise that the organisers are happy to have us a group at this 2022 September event. More information about the Lundy Flyers Motor Club on Facebook.   https://www.facebook.com/lundyflyers/.

It does rely on us getting some names committed now so that I can demonstrate that we can run as a separate class.

Should be a fun weekend. Can I please have names of all interested. Cheers Graham.

If you can drive round corners, you're not going fast enough.

Yep, add me to the list too please. Theoretically it's close to me, but there's a big wet bit in the way.

I have it on my calendar.

On Saturday evening there will be an all-in sunset cruise to end the day, after which you can relax at the beach bar with your mates.

FAQs

Is there camping? Yes, we are all 'wild camping' on the beach with our vehicles. There are toilets, shops, a takeaway and a restaurant back in the beach car park. However if you're looking for an actual campsite with more extensive facilities, there are several in the area – the closest one is Lobb Fields camping (www.lobbfields.com).

When can I arrive? Gates will be open from Friday evening (2nd September) or early Saturday morning (before 10am) Please do not arrive any later than that as the beach has only one access point and once the event starts it will be for pedestrian use only.

I would like to bring additional guests, is there a charge for them? This event is completely free to spectate, you can bring as many guests as you like. The ticket price is per vehicle that wishes to cruise the course and or participate in the sprints, so you can share a car/bike if you wish (valid driver's license and insurance are still required). Any additional vehicles other than the registered vehicle and towing vehicle (if required) must park in the main car park and will pay normal parking charges.

Can I bring a vehicle for 'static display only'? Yes, but please contact us first. Our licence from Natural England limits the number of vehicles we are allowed on the beach so priority will go to registered race/cruise vehicles.

Is there a club discount? Yes, there's a 10% discount for clubs bringing 10 or more vehicles. Please get in touch via a lead contact to book (payments can be made separately).

Event address: Saunton Sands Beach, Braunton, North Devon, EX33 1LG

When: Friday 2nd September - Sunday 4th September (Friday is set up and relax, Saturday and Sunday are the cruise/sprint days).

Is this operating under Cyclekarts GB as a club (remember an OAP needs to find every discount he can)

From experience I don't think ten people will commit at this stage Rhys. Prove me wrong.

I have paid and sent an e-myther to the lundy flyers with a piccy. Going by the photos of last year this is going to be so much fun. I may make it into a bit of a holiday while down there.

Good man Jimmy. Let's hope some others catch your enthusiasm.
