The more cars that come along, the cost can be reduced.

Because it's a weekday it's difficult to get time off work and some teams are struggling to get another driver. Also some teams perhaps don't want other drivers to drive their cars. So a 1hr race could be done by 1 driver. It'll feel like a long time in a cyclekart to be honest and a driver swap won't take long but it has the option. I don't think fuel will last an hour so karts will have to pull in anyway and driver changes can be done then and won't affect times much.

I suspect the above comment that some don't want other people to drive their cars, and what I was told the last time I went to  Wilton Mill that the club had decided that no guest drivers were allowed may have an influence?
