Title: Wheel alignment.
Post by: Moogie38 (Noel) on 14 Dec 22, 10:36 am
This is how I square up my axles and set my toe in/out.
Forgot to add to the sheet that you need to mark a centre line on the box sections and another two lines about 50in apart.  This is where the strings attach.

That's a good and accurate way of doing it.  The trailer for my CK is a converted trailer tent and it sits in a box with the top of the sides at axle height. So easy to centralise CK in box by measuring to the hubs and then measure to the wheels to set the toe.

I have three pieces of 3x2 screwed together in a flattened U shape with 2 screws poking out at axle height this sits level on the floor and the screws touch the rim at the back. I set the toe in narrower at the front by 2 - 3mm. . The steering centralises it to the single rear. The screws can be screwed in or out to suit if I change things

The same way F1 teams do alignment in the pits too
