As with all complex vehicles requiring technical feedback I see you have a 'black box' up front. Is that still an 03-803 in there?? Brilliant !!

Post by: GeoffM on 08 Apr 20, 06:16 pm: Modified Honda backplate. Cut off speedo drive with hacksaw, clean up and create hole for alloy disc, weld or lock in with
grub screws (As shown) back plate is "handed" so one will need extra mod, remove original cable fixing bolt on alloy block to take slave cylinder as shown.

Front brakes
Twin rear brakes
Parking brake
Differential
Rear suspension
What size front lights (7” as on a Morris Minor)
Is your engine pull start or electric start
What speedo unit did use and where from

What cost is the RFL or is it free

We are just at the point finalising the chassis on our Riley and if any of the above are required now is the time to incorporate them.

All advice is much appreciated. Oh by the way we’ll done. I did register a large scale steam traction engine that I built, but that was a long time ago.

Are you going to Grimsthorpe?

Four wheel brakes are required
parking brake on one axle
Differential, I did, but not sure?
Rear suspension, No, mine was fitted subsequently
Headlights, requirements take several pages of manual.
Pull start is OK, but an immobiliser is required.
A Chinese motorcycle speedo incoporating warning lights, indicators, main beam, hazard, mileometer operated by magnets fitted to final drive sprocket. from ebay £25ish.

Cost just over£100, I did not expect it to pass and just went to see how close it would get.

Keep all receipts, to prove it is a new build, and keep it under 250kg or you will need seatbelts

I will be at Grimsthorpe.
