Yes going for mid engine makes it easier to layout. With the driving position I am very much going karting arrangement with knee hunched up. If you look in the picture you can see the driver has his knees up. Hoping to place the "steering rack" above my shims, will make pedal placement difficult, but I only have small feet! Hope to use a standard kart steering column. Trying to simplify everything got a mechanical brake with rod actuation. Just hope I can make the plywood work in this application!!

Hi All

Here is my inspiration car the Hardy SS special. Basically a cyclecar Auto Union, trying to design a plywood monocoque with no metal in the chassis merely for the Morgan front suspension, might even make the bodywork out of ply and paper mache and make it totally recyclable!. Find a set of pics at:

Well it looks like Somerset is the hub of the universe. I live in Somerton. I am also just about start a build and would as you say "eyeball" a machine. Could I have an invite for the 5th as well!.
