One of the rules on this site is that you must swear.......'kin hard to do at times!
Last night some thieving person stole my trailer.
Can't hire a van for three days, costs too much so I don't think I will be bringing the Renault or the Beast (which is finished but untested). However, I am still coming Jim and can still call in at your house.

To everybody that offered over the £1,000,000  sorry but I have changed my mind. I am keeping her. Possibly I will take her apart and use the bits to build something else, I don't know yet.  Something with post 1907 wooden wheels. Got any ideas anyone?

It will soon be here now.
How are they all progressing then?

Jim, are there more forms and thingies I haven't yet done?

Tech Forum / Re: Wet clutch and reduction, or CVT?

That is a subject in its own right and I dont think you can get anything to help other than a higher reving engine with more torque at the 4000 rpm area.
You can cut the weight's in half (looking from the casing) and fit a stronger spring in the clutch and that raises the rpm before the clutch bites.
That what I have gone for and I have tuned the engine so that it will rev to around 9000 rpm. Unfortunatley, that give more than 10hp so I have to moderate it. I can fir a limiter I supose so I done get more than 10hp?

You need to knock-up a dyno to check it out. I am working on one now and when its done (?) I'll take some photos and explain its workings.
It will be portable and any cyclekart will fit so I could bring it to a meeting????

Sorry chaps, I have retired the Renault now so I am bringing the Wee Beastie for definite BECAUSE ITS FINISHED!
I will be giving it it's first run this afternoon, just up and down the M69, nothing dramatic, see it can catch that SU34 on its way to Leicester.

Slippy or what?
The Renault was going quite well and there were a few cars spinning in front of me which was fun. It showed how 'close to the edge' we were going.
Just after lunch, with a very rapidly drying track  went into the right hand hairpin, through the puddle and onto the dry which lifted the inside wheel into the air. Its the driving and breaking wheel so it was spinning very fast when it came down and whap, the chain spanned.
Since I had no spare links that was the driving for the day over.
I missed the Maybug medal and he world championships but the day was fun, as usual and it was great to see three new carts on the track.
The Renault is retired now.

I don't mind, anywhere will do me. If you find somewhere that's good enough for you ask your self "Will it be good enough for him"
Of course you could risk it and book it for me anyway ;>).
