You could easily put a block of something on the bottom of the chassis
rail, over the center of the springs to stop them deflecting enough to go inside out...just a thought.

Good morning and welcome Richard.

With ref to making it shorter, I believe I've got the shortest wheelbase in GB at 63"
The reason I ended up at this was because the steering arms, stearing column, my feet
and the pedals would have all try'd to occupy the same bit of space. My solution was
to make the wheel base shorter but put the brake and loud pedal on the far side of the steering arms.
This necessitates a bit of wiggling, but once you are used to it, it is easy enough.

Good luck with choosing an inspiration car, there's far too many good ones to choose from.

Might be a stupid question but having watched Jim's video...well done Jim...what was
