Replaced a couple of spokes and painted the rear wheels. Fitted a catch to hold the dummy fuel tank.

Made the sides of the seat and tried to re-create the shape of the dodge. With only two weeks to wilton I am cutting it fine to get it finished.

I have almost finished the bonnet and painted and couple of wheels. I fitted one of the new tyres 2.75 and like the block pattern on them. Ebay and 85 quid for the set. Started on the exhaust using some 27mm tube from a scrap bin.

Where to get stuff / Brake Pipe and Fittings
« on: 02 Mar 20, 12:52 pm »
I called into BPG Motorsport in Keysoe near bedford to get all the brake pipe and fittings for my CK. It was an Alladins cave of motorsport parts, all competitively priced. They had all the fittings in stock, stainless hose (AN3), and they are local to me, Also only 5 miles from Gemini Karts. Steering racks, fuel tanks, rose joints and loads more stuff in stock. Highly recommended, here is a link.    https://www.bpgmotorsport.co.uk/

That looks excellent and a much better finish than mine. I have gone for the good from afar but far from good look.  ;D

With the floor finished I put the car back up the right way and started reassembling it. I also made the bonnet sides from ali and hardboard that has the rear on the outside. This is so it looks like the canvas stuff on the original car. I will paint it white later.

I managed to paint the chassis and start making the floor last weekend. The satin black paint reacted with the primer and crackled. Luckily I'm not after a show finish.

I have spoken to Whilton Mill today and have booked a practice afternoon 1pm to 4pm for Thursday 26th March. They have something already on in the morning. The cost will only be £25 and it's quite likely we will have the track to ourselves. Probably best to arrive before 12 to sign in and get ready ect. Hopefully this suits everyone, the weather will be good and we don't all have corona.  ;)

I am interested in going to this but it conflicts with the retro show at santapod and I don't know if I'm racing at it yet as it's one of the events that I get invited to closer to the time.

They haven't said which track but I have been there a few years ago and I can't remember any really tight bends. There is plenty of grass run off.
