Good man Jim. Chris is still corresponding and the track is booked.
Photographers from Haynes are being arranged.
I'm hoping that if we dress up for them again we may get into the museum for free? What about it Chris?
Anybody else committing to joining us on the day please?

I can only try Graham. Hopefully we can get the numbers up, Ten would be great , same as Brooklands .
Do you make that six Karts committed so far ?

As we will be using the Museums excellent cafe/restaurant (sit in or outside), and helping to promote Haynes, (and ourselves) by allowing them to film us in all our finery,   their's a good chance , we will get discount at least .

Work on bonnet fairing. Using very thin caravan ally, been in my garage for at least 25 years ....plenty of patina....dents n all.
Thats what i like about these builds; a chance to use some of that junk , we hoard .

More work on pedal boxes. Added return spring tabs and adjustable spring tension brackets to both pedal.

Moved both as far forward as poss, as chassis shorter now.

Side panels painted and High seat back made and covered in black vinyl.

Dash covered in thin aluminium. Given a engine turned effect with small wir brush mounted in drill.

Dummy clock facias added , Speedo is genuine Austin of that period . (broken one i bought and glued) . See the join  ;D

As we are gaining new members all the time and some of you are based in the South/South west, Would you be interested in  a meet up /general chat; about builds in progress/ future builds/ finished Ck (for those that have), New venues to try  etc.
I can bring my Austin along if it helps .

This was really on the back of Wed 21st July Trackday meet at Castle Combe Kart circuit, near Chippenham. We had several local very interested visitors , which was great , good to meet you guys.
Plus other New members on this forum (living in the South/South west) this year have asked the question  are any events local to them .
This meeting or meetings would be open to all members , of course .

We do have another CycleKart event coming up , in the South; Brooklands August 7th Saturday, Plus in the South west; Haynes Museum Karting Circuit, Sparkford.  (end Sept, beginning of October) date TBC shortly.

I am based 15 miles from Taunton , (towards the coast) Between Chard/ Ilminster.
