Engine: new clone vs. Used Honda

Looking to finally build my kart and taking a proper look at engine choice; feedback always welcome

Edit: I am building this on a budget, so I don’t have the opportunity to drop in a new GX200. I will be skip surfing for the majority of the build and learning as I go!

My 1st kart has a Hyundai engine, never been any trouble & still starting & running well. No 2 kart had a Lifan engine, lasted 12 meetings before catastrophic failure. No 3 kart will have another Hyundai engine. I bought this with a 20 mm shaft & reamed the clutch to fit.
Good luck with your build.
