The Other Project

The other project - must be finished to gain space for the ck build though I'm making parts during 'spare' minutes.

Just though you might like to see.

7 1/4" gauge, following narrow gauge style. It's an extensively modified and reworked version of 'Tinkerbell', longer chassis and boiler, different valve gear cylinders and wheels, plus coal bunker. Lots of design work.

Ooooh….
Nice!
I’m more about marine steam engines meself. And monotube boilers, and the associated control issues vs the inherent safety. I have a couple of LBSC designed loco chassis that I’ve not yet got round to playing with., due to being more about boats, straight runners and hydroplanes.

The next ck I build once I’ve finished the White Riley will be circa 1906 and flash steam powered. I have a suitable (for a 20’ boat) launch engine(with slip reverse) thats made of iron and thus suitable for conversion to a monotube system without melting and am working on the design parameters of the boiler/ burner. It’ll probably end up about 12 feet long. Answers on a postcard as to which LSR vehicle it is…;c)

Lovely work on the loco, proper good.. ;c)

Kind comments, thanks.

When we meet up we shall have to have a steam conference. Steam cks, now that's an idea
