My Renault has always be considered to be too loud. It was measured by Rhys a while ago and was about 105 dB.
It had a straight-through tuned pipe and no silencer. I have however fitted a silencer to it (from the GX Performance Centre) which is designed for racing Go-Karts specifically to meet their regulations.  Hopefully it will comply now.
