Number of teeth on sprockets?
« on: 19 May 22, 08:05 pm »
Hi,
Looking to tap into people's knowledge,  what size/ number of teeth are you running on your engine and axle sprockets?
My logic is that go-karts have significantly smaller diameter tyres, than you would see on a CycleKart,  therefore different sizes will be required.
Thanks in advance , Jon.

This comes back to what you are intending to use as a clutch system.
Also chain size as per the earlier posts.
personally I only use torque convertors, and aim for a ratio of around 1:6.5 or somewhere near.
others use just a clutch. Of those I have zero knowledge of what works well.
