I do note the new format for the forum, as I am somewhat old fashioned I find the changes a little hard to work my way around, but a few comments. Delete if you wish moderator.
I do like the comments re "What is/what isn't"
I don't understand why there is a maximum wheelbase, some cars , to look "right" need the longer than given. I have just had to give up on a build as it would not conform , Edwardian types need longer.
Why the 35 mph rule? I don't understand why, and more so when film is posted of a CKGB car showing 43?

Hi Rhys , please tell us more about the build you had to give up on. I'm sure some of the other guys would be interested.

I guess I didn't " have to" but the Napier was over length for the "new rules". I was  building to the rest of the world guidelines, and it would have been 6" long, so it just seemed a waste of effort to not have other Edwardian cars. I was working to ' overall length, as that's what most other places use, means you can actually put them sideways on a trailer legally. Never mind, I just wanted to understand why.
As Stefan said to me a year or so back "You can't make others do what you want, or think right" so it's just easier to move on to other pastures.

I often wondered why the rules were never set up as 75% or 80% of the full size car you have selected,  a longer wheelbase would equal a heaver kart so there would be no advantage in picking a bigger car.

Personally I see no need at all for a wheelbase rule. In regards your thoughts on a scale, having been around these things going on for 20 years, I continually (boringly) feel the need to remind people that they are not scale models. Giving the clues that identify is what matters.
