Chassis rust protection
« on: 22 Dec 22, 09:50 am »
I'm wondering if anyone has made the effort to apply any kind of rust treatment to the inside of their chassis metal? Something like waxoil.

The last thing I'd want is my kart to start rusting from the inside out, cos a little bit of water has snuck in through a porous weld or something, so I was planning to drill some drain holes in the bottom of any sections where water might collect, and possibly use those holes to add in some sort of preventative coating. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of doing so, and has any recommendations of any particular products or where to get them?

Thanks.

I have used this for decades in any applications. I can't recommend highly enough. Should have bought the rights.
