212 cc limit on karts no gearboxes either. Nice idea but I’m not sure it will be allowed. Ask the committee. Thanks for the reminder but that won't matter to me as I just want to build it and possibly attend the odd show not race it.
Regards Nick
Not sure what you would do with the engine and box but the body is not far off a fair representation of a 1920 Monroe, here is a Gitreville build of one...Thanks thats a great start. The engine and Box will just about fit in the back end behind the driver but its early days yet. I have two motorbikes to finish then I will be selling a few projects I am never going to get around to and this should free me and the space up for the Cycle kart

If not already on that list Stefan. Please put me down for one Handbrake. Looks Spot onSons bought me one for Christmas!
I contacted my local race circuit but they haven’t come back to me. Upon closer inspection today, the build is extremely poor. What I thought was stiff front suspension turned out to be such poor build quality that a cold chisel and club hammer were needed to separate the front wishbones from the home made hub carrier after the pivot bolt was removed. Even the steering column that I wanted is made up of welded sections that were welded by someone with their eyes shut! The 250cc Yamaha engine has a hole in the bottom of the gearbox and the casing has been butchered to accomodate the remote gearchange. I think the whole thing is just scrap- glad it was free!If It makes you feel better I paid £100 for a tidy non running cart fitted with a Turkish Motor Bike engine yes I didn't even know Turkey had a motor bike manufacturer.
