Found these wonderful spinners and tried to download them on Thingiverse. I can’t seem to find them.

Randy

Hi Randy,
My STL files are now on Cults3D. Here is a link to them, you should be able to access the rest of my designs from that.

Extensions to make the bed wider.

Cross slide and tool post taking shape.

Next part to make will be the headstock main shaft so I can get the bearings and 8in chuck fitted.
Still haven't found a reasonably priced 2.2Kw 3 phase motor yet. This will be powered via a VFD and will allow adjustable motor speeds.

Update on the lathe. Things are still moving forward,  albeit very slow.

Winchman, funny you should mention a lathe. Slowly collecting parts.

Design Files / Re: Filament 3D Printing

If the part is designed properly it shouldn't have any sharp corners,  it should have fillets to add strength.
Any detailed curved parts i would print at 0.1 layer height , minimises the amount of sanding but will increase the print time considerably .
You can use some of the UV curing resin for the SLA printers to coat the outside of your part to form a hard coating which is easier to sand.
Still hait sanding 3D parts no matter what way I do it.

Eventually got my speed controller mounted the led screen, speed control knob and forward and reverse switch into a project box to keep everything tidy.

Decided that a foot pedal would be easier to use than the small switch on the control box, so after a bit of CAD and 3D printing,  this is what I came up with.

Shafts and drive gears are away to get a keyway cut into them so can't do much more for now.

All my parts are designed on Fusion which is free for hobby use and is as good as Solidworks and a lot easier to use.

Before I can start work on the floor panels for the Minor i needed to put together a bead roller.  This is something I've wanted for a long time, this and a lathe 😉 (maybe this will be my next project).
I have the main body complete,  made from 100x50 heavy wall box, 50x50 box, some 6mm plate, 7/8 shafts, 1 block of steel 100x50x25 , 2 blocks at 50x50x25 and a few oil impregnated bushes.

Motorised with the use of a 250w wheelchair motor and 60a speed controller.

Will either buy dies of have them made, haven't decided yet, still waiting for the speed controller to arrive from China.

Wee day out promoting cyclekarting with the Ulster Vintage Car Club.
Wasn't taking part in the trial but they did let me try some of the sections.  Actually got further up the sections than some of the cars taking part in the event, even with one wheel drive ! 😁

After a few measurements and I got these hubs made by a local engineering firm. They are for the Honda ANF125 wheels which are very similar to the C90 ones. Also i use 25mm axle. It isnt hard to get someone to make you a set.
